1. CHIEF ENGINEER OFFICER (Closing Date : 4 July 2018)

QUALIFICATION & SPECIFICATION:

  • Possess Certificate of Competency Watchkeeping Engineer Officer 750kW or more Near Costal Voyage.
  • Minimum five (5) years experience as a Chief Engineer in floating craft or equivalent experience.
  • Have valid seaferers, Certificates and Medical Check-up approved by Marine Department.
  • Have valid certificates in Modular Course (short course), under STCW 1978 & STCW Amendment Manila 2010 regulation, as set by Marine Department.
  • Have basic knowledge in General Administrative of Labor, Finance Port Operations, Property Management, Statistics, MSO 1952 and other Marine Regulations.
  • Have basic knowledge in Microsoft Office applications, i.e. Ms Word & Excel.
  • Good in communication skills and supervisory skill.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Chief Engineer Officer, the successful candidate shall be responsible directly to the Master. He is responsible for handling and maintenance of tugboat machinery (as well as equipment) for the operation of vessel or other necessities. To maintain cleanliness of engine room and perform routine maintenance plans (Planned Maintenance Schedule). To maintain and record all breakdown, repair and maintenance works, oil consumption and other requirements for tugboats. To oversee repair and maintenance work in Dockyard. To maintain and renew “Life Saving Appliance Certificates”, “Load Line Certificates” and others “Survey Certificates”.

Chief Engineer Officer is expected to execute or discharge other duties or assignment delegated by the Management from time to time, being independent and can cope work under pressure.

2. ENGINE OFFICER (Closing Date : 4 July 2018)

QUALIFICATION & SPECIFICATION:

• Have valid seaferers, Certificates and Medical Check-up approved by Marine Department.
• Have valid certificates in Modular Course (short course), under STCW 1978 & STCW Amendment Manila 2010 regulation, as set by Marine Department.
• Have basic knowledge in Microsoft Office applications, i.e. Ms Word & Excel.
• Good in communication skills and supervisory skill.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an Engine Officer, the successful candidate shall be responsible directly to the Head of Marine Services Department. He is responsible for handling and maintenance of Pilot Boat and/or Mooring Boat machinery (as well as equipment) for the operation of vessel or other necessities. To maintain cleanliness of engine room and perform routine maintenance plans (Planned Maintenance Schedule). To maintain and record all breakdown, repair and maintenance works, oil consumption and other requirements for tugboats. To oversee repair and maintenance work in Dockyard. To maintain and renew “Life Saving Appliance Certificates”, “Load Line Certificates” and others “Survey Certificates”.

Engine Officer is expected to execute or discharge other duties or assignment delegated by the Management from time to time, being independent and can cope work under pressure.

3. FIRE OFFICER (Closing Date : 4 July 2018)

QUALIFICATION & SPECIFICATION:

• Aged 19 years old and above.
• Possess Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent qualification.
• Must have the following physical requirements:
i. At least 1.57 metre tall without shoes.
ii. At least weight 48 kilogram.
iii. At least with a chest measurement of 77.5 cm and 82.5 cm when inhale.
iv. Good eyesight at V/6/9 without optical aids.
v. Physically fit with good eye sight, not colour blind and good hearing.
• Pass the following tests:
i. Able to lift weight of 54 kilogram.
ii. Carry and pitch extension ladder.
iii. Climb a ladder of 10 meters high.
iv. Climbing rope.

• Have basic knowledge in Microsoft Office applications, i.e. Ms Word & Excel.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Fire Officer, the successful candidate shall be reporting to the Senior Fire Officer. He is responsible to perform an emergency operation works, handling of unsafe materials as per Ship/Shore Safety Checklist, supervision of hot work/cold work as per safety policy, inspection of machinery/fire-fighting equipment. To organise and facilitate trainings and promotion related to fire safety/safety briefing to the port user.

All Fire Officer is expected to execute or discharge other duties or assignment delegated by the Management from time to time, being independent and can cope work under pressure.
