Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn. Bhd. (Kuantan Port) was honoured to welcome YBhg. Datuk Muhammad Razman bin Abu Samah, Director General of the Public Private Partnership Unit (UKAS), Prime Minister’s Department, during an official visit to Kuantan Port.
The delegation was received by Puan Hasnita binti Mohd Hanapiah, General Manager of the Kuantan Port Authority, together with Mr Chan Weng Yew, Chief Operating Officer of Kuantan Port. Also accompanying the delegation was Encik Mohd Rezwan bin Abd. Razak, Senior Principal Assistant Director of Infrastructure Section I, UKAS.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on Kuantan Port’s development journey, operational capabilities, ongoing expansion initiatives, and future growth plans that continue to strengthen its role as a strategic maritime gateway on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
The visit also included a tugboat tour, providing the delegation with a closer perspective of the port’s operational infrastructure, marine facilities, and ongoing development within the port ecosystem.
Since its privatisation in 1998, Kuantan Port has continued to serve as a strategic national asset, playing a vital role in supporting Malaysia’s logistics and maritime development while continuously enhancing its services to meet the evolving demands of the industry.
