Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn. Bhd. (Kuantan Port) was delighted to welcome a delegation from the Ministry of Transport Thailand and CHEC (Thai) Company Limited. The delegation, led by the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport Thailand, Dr Punya Chupanit, was received by Kuantan Port’s General Manager KP2 Operations, Mr Wang Chao.
During the visit, the delegation was provided with a comprehensive briefing on the port’s history, development, operational capabilities, and future expansion plans, followed by an insightful discussion session focused on strategic transportation infrastructure connectivity and multimodal logistics networks.
Strategically positioned on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, Kuantan Port continues to serve as a vital maritime gateway within the Asia-Pacific region. Through partnerships with ASEAN transport and maritime stakeholders, including Thailand, the port remains committed to enhancing regional connectivity, facilitating trade, and driving sustainable growth.
