Charting the Future of Ports & Shipping: Kuantan Port Shares Insights at LogiSYM Malaysia 2026

Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn Bhd (Kuantan Port) was pleased to participate in LogiSYM Malaysia 2026, held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur. Held under the theme ‘Converging Forces: Human, Digital and Circular Supply Chains’, the symposium brought together industry leaders, maritime experts, and supply chain and logistics professionals to exchange insights on the evolving landscape of the industry.

Representing Kuantan Port, our Chief Commercial Officer, Encik Mazlim Husin, took part in the ‘CEO Panel: Ports & Shipping’, highlighting Kuantan Port’s role and readiness to support the development of carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects, while sharing perspectives on how port ecosystems can evolve in response to the growing urgency of global decarbonisation.

The discussion also touched on the growing demand for versatile cargo handling capabilities and the importance of future developments in strengthening multimodal connectivity, particularly between the port and the surrounding industrial clusters.

Kuantan Port Welcomes Johor Port Authority Delegation

Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn Bhd (Kuantan Port) was pleased to host a delegation from Johor Port Authority for a visit to Kuantan Port recently. The delegation, led by the Chairman of Johor Port Authority, YBrs. (Dr.) Tn. Hj. Rosnan bin Fathlal, was received by the Chairman of Kuantan Port Authority, YDM Orang Kaya Indera Segara Tengku Dato’ Sri Haji Zulkifly bin Tengku Temenggong Ahmad.

Also present were the General Manager of Kuantan Port Authority, YH Dato’ Hasnita binti Mohd Hanapiah, and Chief Operating Officer of Kuantan Port, Mr Chan Weng Yew.

During the visit, the delegation was briefed on Kuantan Port’s history, key milestones and development journey, as well as its operational capabilities, terminal facilities and role in supporting the region’s maritime and logistics activities. The session also covered Kuantan Port’s ongoing development projects, future expansion plans and strategic initiatives in strengthening its position as a key maritime gateway for the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
