Courtesy Visit to the Pahang Road Transport Department (JPJ)

Kuantan Port paid a courtesy visit to the Pahang State Road Transport Department (JPJ) as part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with key regulatory stakeholders. The delegation was led by the General Manager of the Kuantan Port Authority, Puan Hasnita Binti Mohd Hanapiah, together with the Chief Operating Officer of Kuantan Port, Mr Chan Weng Yew, and the Senior Manager, Government Liaison of Kuantan Port, Dato’ Azahari Bin Muhammad Yusoff.

The delegation was warmly received by the Director of JPJ Pahang, Tuan Haji Syed Ahmad Khirulanwar Alyahya Bin Syed Abdul Rahman. The engagement facilitated meaningful discussions on road safety, regulatory compliance, and the management of vehicle and driver licensing in support of safe and efficient port operations.

Kuantan Port extends its sincere appreciation to JPJ Pahang for the constructive engagement and warm hospitality. We look forward to further strengthening our partnership with state agencies in enhancing port operations and logistics, while ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations within the port area.

Visit by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Transport

Kuantan Port was honoured to welcome the delegation from the Yunnan Provincial Department of Transport for an official visit. The delegation, led by Deputy Director Mr. Wang Dong, was warmly received by the General Manager of Kuantan Port Authority, Puan Hasnita binti Mohd Hanapiah, and the Chief Operating Officer of Kuantan Port, Mr. Chan Weng Yew.

The visit began with an informative briefing session featuring an introductory presentation on Kuantan Port’s history, developmental milestones, and core operational activities. The session also highlighted the port’s strategic connectivity and its growing role as a major logistics hub in Southeast Asia.

The delegation then proceeded with a site tour of Kuantan Port 1 and Kuantan Port 2, where they gained valuable insights and a clearer understanding of the port’s operational management and on-ground activities.

As a key player in the Belt and Road Initiative, Kuantan Port remains committed to exploring new opportunities through strategic partnerships with our stakeholders, while consistently upholding sustainability in our daily operations.

Kuantan Port Welcomes Delegation from Ministry of Transport

Kuantan Port was honoured to welcome a delegation from the Auditing Committee of the Ministry of Transport (MOT) during an official visit recently.

The visit brought together 35 representatives from MOT’s Statutory Bodies, Agencies, and Companies. The delegation, led by the Deputy Secretary General (Policy) of MOT, YBhg. Dato’ Normah Binti Osman, together with the Head of Internal Audit of MOT, YBhg. Datin Hasnira Binti Hussin, was warmly received by the General Manager of Kuantan Port Authority, Puan Hasnita Binti Mohd Hanapiah, along with the management team of Kuantan Port.

The delegation was brought to the Customs Examination Area (CEA) at Kuantan Port 1, a critical facility that ensures streamlined processes and reinforces operational efficiency within the port. This was followed by a tour of the viewing deck at Kuantan Port 2, offering delegates a comprehensive vantage point of our cargo handling operations and port facilities.

Kuantan Port remains steadfast in its commitment to upholding excellent and effective port governance, while continuously enhancing our services and operations to better serve our stakeholders.

Kuantan Port Strengthens Integrity Through Anti-Corruption Programme with MACC

In conjunction with this year’s National Integrity Day, Kuantan Port proudly hosted Program Antirasuah 2025, an initiative reflecting our steadfast commitment to integrity and transparency. The event, held at the Training Hall, Wisma Kuantan Port, brought together more than 150 participants comprising Kuantan Port employees and representatives from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

A key highlight of the programme was an inspiring Integrity Talk delivered by PsK Zainab Binti Abdul Malik from MACC, who spoke on ‘Integrity, Corruption and Corporate Liability’. The session provided valuable insights into the importance of ethical conduct and accountability in organisational governance.

The event also featured the Corruption-Free Pledge (Ikrar Bebas Rasuah) led by Mr. Chan Weng Yew, Chief Operating Officer of Kuantan Port, and witnessed by PKPj Westmoreland Anak Ajom, Head of the Private Sector Branch, Public Education Division, MACC. The pledge ceremony marked a significant milestone through the signing of a formal commitment between Kuantan Port and MACC, symbolising our united front against corruption.
