Kuantan Port was pleased to participate in the 10th Mining Asia Conference & Exhibition held recently at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Singapore. Organised by Spire Events and supported by the Critical Minerals Association, the conference brought together industry experts to discuss strategic mining investments, sustainable technologies and the future of critical minerals.
The Chief Commercial Officer of Kuantan Port, Encik Mazlim Husin, joined as a speaker where he delivered a presentation titled ‘Dry Bulk Capabilities for Emerging Mineral Trade Opportunities’. During the session, he highlighted the port’s dry bulk handling capabilities, including its efficient discharge and transshipment operations, as well as its ongoing development initiatives to support the growing demand for emerging mineral trade.
He also shared insights into Kuantan Port’s strategic advantages, including its deep-water facilities, well-established logistics connectivity and close proximity to key industrial clusters. These strengths continue to position Kuantan Port as a strategic gateway and transshipment hub on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia, supporting regional and international supply chains.
