Kuantan Port Joins Asia Carbon Capture 2026, Powering the CCS Value Chain

Kuantan Port is excited to share our participation in Asia Carbon Capture 2026, held recently at Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre. Organised by Centre for Management Technology (CMT), the event brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and technology innovators to discuss the next phase of carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) deployment across Asia.

Chief Commercial Officer of Kuantan Port, Encik Mazlim Husin, participated in a panel discussion titled ‘CO₂ Transport & Cross-Border Logistics – Enabling Scalable CCS/CCUS in Asia’, where he highlighted the port’s infrastructure readiness and the critical role of logistics in supporting a scalable CCS ecosystem.

During the session, he also emphasised Kuantan Port’s strategic position as an emerging carbon aggregation and logistics hub, supporting the collection, handling, and onward transportation of captured CO₂ from industrial emitters. Leveraging its established connectivity, deep-water capabilities, and proximity to key industrial clusters, Kuantan Port is well-positioned to facilitate efficient CO₂ movement within the broader CCS value chain.

Kuantan Port extends its sincere appreciation to CMT for organising this significant event, which serves as an important platform for industry leaders to strengthen collaboration and advance the transition towards a more sustainable future.
