We refer to the recent announcement by the Ministry of Finance Malaysia (“MOF”) and enforcement by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department regarding the revised Sales and Service Tax (“SST”) rate.

Please be informed that, in compliance with the Service Tax Act 2018, Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn. Bhd. (“Kuantan Port”) will begin imposing an 8% Service Tax on all lease and rental contract companies, effective from 1st July 2025, as required by law.
